The old Maddie, now Terrance, looked with interest at her former body, which was being adjusting a bikini, a bikini she would never have worn herself. Terrance had completely changed her wardrobe; she had a complex about her look, and Terrance wasn't ashamed of it and accepted it wholeheartedly. An interesting decision for someone who, even in middle age, was still in shape. Her relationship with Eddie had died very quickly; there was no chance at all. However, she and Sandra had quickly come together right after Terrance's failed attempts, after it he had moved on to his ex-son. She and Sandra felt like an old married couple by now. She had surreptitiously overheard a guy at the pool saying to Terrance in her old body, "You're a sexy babe," to which Terrance replied, "Yeah, I know," and a faint sense of pride washed over her, seeing how her former father-in-law and (hopefully) future daughter-in-law had adapted to her new body.
