Judy Vinson, wife of Jeffrey Atribus Vinson, was a vain woman. She considered herself the center of the universe. She disliked neither her son (she didn't want children but needed protection, so one was a compromise) nor her daughter-in-law, whom she accused of having an affair with her husband, even though she had affairs herself. She didn't even attend their wedding, making the excuse that she had a meeting in another part of the world. The only thing she cared about was her dog bitch, Abi, who followed orders. However, her arrogance paid the price when, while jogging with Abi, she bumped into an old woman. She didn't help her, only shouted, "Who let the bitch out!" and ran off, not noticing the old woman pointing her fingers at her.  

The next day, she was awakened by the sound of her window shattering. Trying to get up, she felt like she has fours legs. She also experienced a whole range of new sounds and smells that overwhelmed her. Suddenly, she saw her own body scratching against the window, she wanted to scream, but instead she howled and realized she was a dog. Then she howled again. Her husband's neutered dog, Nan, joined her. 

The next few days passed quickly. Her husband, seeing the state of her body, took it to the hospital despite her barking protests, which resulted in her having to spend the night outside, and she was forced to live as a regular dog. A few days later, her daughter-in-law Aloa arrived with her son's new male dog, Domino. She brazenly began to make out with him, and upon seeing this, she responded with loud barking. They, seeing this, forcibly chased her and Domino outside.  There, her son's dog started to approach her, and she began to feel something on her instincts, and she realized that Abi wasn't neutered, which meant that she could... sensing this, she managed to avoid Domino for the rest of the day, although there were moments when he was close. However, she was afraid that one day she wouldn't succeed.
